He’s almost 60 years old but one British rocker is proving he’s still the heartthrob you knew, loved and probably had posters of on your wall in the 90s.
Appearing at a pre-show on Saturday night ahead of the MTV European Music Awards in Manchester Bush frontman, Gavin Rossdale was in good spirits as he and the band played their top hits.
Once again proving to be somewhat ageless, the Glycerine singer, who recently celebrated his 59th birthday, wore a black hooded singlet and matching black jeans, with his dark curls kept neatly tucked behind his ears.
The star, who was previously married to Gwen Stefani, 54, from 2002 to 2016, attended the music award ceremony on Sunday night with his girlfriend, Albanian-born electro-pop singer girlfriend, Xhoana X – who is 18 years his junior – and presented an award.
The pair made their relationship official on social media in March when Xhoana posted Gavin on her Instagram page for the first time. However, it’s understood they first began dating in 2023.
At the time, many couldn’t help but point out that she looked very similar to Gwen, who had separated from Gavin seven years earlier.
Gavin, shares three children, Kingston, 16, Zuma, 13, and Apollo, eight, with his ex-wife, and daughter Daisy Lowe, 35, with Pearl Lowe.
Prior to attending the MTV EMA’s, Bush announced that to celebrate the 30-year anniversary of their debut album Sixteen Stone, they are releasing a brand new album.
Speaking to The Sun ahead of their pre-show gig last week, Gavin said: ‘We have a new record, so we’re finishing and mixing that up.
‘It’s called I Beat Loneliness, and is coming out next year,’ he said. ‘I really want to use this as a springboard to a whole tour in England. That’s the idea.’
Gavin first found fame in the early 90s with the formation of the rock band Bush. Quickly becoming one of the best-selling rock groups of their time, the band experienced most of its success in America and comparatively little in the UK.
In 2002, a decade after they broke into the music industry, the band announced they were breaking up. Gavin went on to form Institute before embarking on a solo career and later an acting career.
Bush reunited in 2010 and has since released four albums, the most recent being The Art of Survival in 2022. It was their ninth studio album and debuted at number two on the US mainstream rock charts.
