Wednesday evening, a mass shooting in a southern California biker bar resulted in at least four fatalities, including the perpetrator, and multiple injuries.
According to reports, gunfire erupted on Wednesday at approximately 7 p.m. at Cook’s Corner in Trabuco Canyon. The circumstances surrounding the incident have not yet been disclosed.
At 9:01 p.m. local time, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that three victims were pronounced deceased at the scene, and six others were transported to hospitals. Five of the six casualties suffered from gunshot wounds.
The unidentified shooter was also pronounced dead at the site of the crime.
During the response, the sheriff’s office reported that an “officer-involved shooting” occurred, but no deputies were injured.
The office of California Governor Gavin Newsom stated on X that he is “monitoring the shooting” and “coordinating with local officials as more details become available.”
