Jurgen Klopp has provided injury updates on a host of Liverpool stars ahead of his side’s trip to Brighton.

The Reds have been battling a huge list of injury problems in 2024 as they continue to battle on three fronts for silverware this season.

Allison Becker, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Diogo Jota, Ibrahima Konate, Curtis Jones and Thiago Alcantara all among those who missed their final game before the international break against Manchester United.

Darwin Nunez also picked up a knock in that battle at Old Trafford, withdrawing from the Uruguay squad for March’s international break in the process.

Andy Robertson meanwhile provided another scare when he limped off in Scotland’s friendly against Northern Ireland on Tuesday.

Liverpool host Brighton on Sunday afternoon, hours before Manchester City and Arsenal meet in a huge clash at the Etihad. Just one point separates the three sides with 10 games of the season remaining.

Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Klopp was asked about Robertson, Konate, Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Jota and Jones, telling reporters: ‘Curtis is training.

‘Robbo will take it day by day, he won’t train today but it is not as bad. That is fine. The other boys, from next week, step by step, they will join parts of training so we will see what we do. They are not far but not there yet.

On Nunez, he added: ;Darwin did rehab during the week, trained first day partially and since then he is in full training.’

Goalkeeper Alisson has missed Liverpool’s last nine games due to a hamstring injury with Alexander-Arnold not featuring since the win over Burnley in February.

Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz meanwhile both emerged from the defeat at Old Trafford with minor knocks but were able to train with their respective national teams in the days that followed.
