Roy Keane has shared an updated verdict on the Premier League title race after Opta’s supercomputer boosted Arsenal’s chances by 7.6 per cent.

Opta’s supercomputer made Liverpool the new title favourites after they beat Brighton and Arsenal drew 0-0 at Manchester City last week.

But following the latest round of games, with Liverpool drawing 2-2 at Manchester United on Sunday after Arsenal and Manchester City picked up wins over Brighton and Crystal Palace respectively on Saturday, things have changed.

Liverpool’s chances have dropped from 45 per cent to 31.3 per cent, while City have increased from 33.6 per cent to 39.7 per cent – going up 6.1 per cent.

But the supercomputer has handed the biggest weekly increase to Arsenal – with their probability of landing the title going up from 21.4 per cent to 29 per cent.

Keane has provided his own thoughts on the title race as he told Sky Sports: ‘I’m not really sure [about Opta’s supercomputer].

‘It certainly wouldn’t bother Arsenal. I try to put myself in each camp here. If I was in the Arsenal camp, I’d be quietly confident with winning the league.

‘If I’m in the Liverpool camp, I wouldn’t panic, taking a draw [with a late goal]. If I’m in Man City’s camp, I’m comfortable too. All three teams fancy their chances.

‘Winning league titles is difficult. You need a bit of luck and your top players performing. I wouldn’t take too much notice [of the supercomputer].’

Pressed if had to pick one of the three dressing rooms, Keane added: ‘I’d probably go with Man City. They’ve done it. Their reaction to last week… they’ve really used their squad. For their experience, Pep, De Bruyne… I’d probably want to be there.

‘I went with Liverpool last week. Am I allowed to change my mind?! I think Man City will win all their [remaining] games.’
