Eager Forger family fanatics are in for a treat as Spy × Family Code: White hits the domestic box office this weekend. The film has been localized thanks to Crunchyroll, and is already raking in the big bucks thanks to this latest elegant collaboration from Wit Studio and CloverWorks.
Box office projections place Spy x Family Code: White on the top five domestic podium, expecting to earn a cool $4.9 million. With early reviews placing the movie in the high 90s on Rotten Tomatoes, and an ‘A’ grade on Cinemascore, the critics are as generous with their opinions as the audiences are with their money.
Spy x Family: Code White is in the Top 5 For its Opening Weekend in North America
While Spy × Family Code: White still trails Civil War, Abigail, and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, it’s impressive to see it holding its own against the likes of Godzilla x Kong, placing the film at roughly #4. For an anime adaptation, this is undeniably impressive, especially when weighed against buzzworthy blockbusters and franchise juggernauts like Godzilla, even though it’s several weeks in.
