Two of the stars of controversial dating show Milf Manor have admitted even they were shocked by what goes on.

The wildest reality series ever is returning for a second season, with another twist promised, though we’re not quite sure we’re ready for it.

The first series saw some pretty X-rated moments when a number of ‘hot mums’, aged between 40 and 60, began dating each other’s sons. Yep, you read that right.

And with them all staying together in one villa (even sleeping in beds next to each other), things got pretty awkward, and viewers were freaked out to say the least.

There were some bizarre double dates, mothers feeling up their own sons’ chests while blindfolded, and X-rated sex education classes together where the sons performer oral sex on mannequins, right in front of their mothers.

Viewers were disturbed by how truly unhinged it all was, with one reviewer branding it the ‘rock bottom’ of reality TV.

And now Milfs Christina and Crystal have admitted they were shocked too, having not watched the show before, and not even realising what they were going on.

Christina, 46, decided to go on the programme after going through a divorce and having her heartbroken, saying ‘the opportunity presented itself to me and kind of fell in my lap, and I was like, why not?’

‘I need to find someone and if I have to go out of the country to do that, that’s what I’m willing to do,’ she added.

48-year-old Crystal meanwhile was discovered on social media and thought she’d ‘take the risk’ after bad luck in dating and wanting to ‘find love in a whole different way’.

But she had no idea what to expect, saying: ‘I’m not a reality show TV watcher… I had no clue, and I didn’t know that it was Milf Manor until I got there.

‘So it was sprung on me, everything was a surprise for me. When I heard about it, that this is the show that I was going to be on I was like, “oh my god, what am I in for?”

‘But, you know, I was down for it, like “I’m here now, and I’m here for it”.’

Crystal had instead thought she’d be on another kind of dating show, explaining: ‘Like there would be all these hot guys, I was going to have some competition, like the typical show you see, I’ve seen commercials on how these things go andwas thinking, “I’m gonna have to compete with other women, I’m probably gonna get eliminated.”

‘That’s what I thought, but I had no clue of the age groups and all that, I just thought it was going to be men that were in my age group.’

‘I thought it was going to be like a dating show [with] good looking bachelors,’ Christina agreed, saying she was in ‘total shock’, having not watched the first season.

Despite the initial shock though, both women were willing to embrace the opportunity.

‘Honestly, I embraced everything that came my way, I think you’ll see that, I was very authentic. I was there for a for a reason which was to definitely find someone so my focus was finding someone,’ Christina said.

‘We’re still real people at the end of the day with real feelings and real emotions and you’ll see a lot of that plays out on the show, there’s way more than dating and challenges and hot guys, there’s a lot of drama in the season.

‘But for me, personally, I was more focused on finding my person. I’m 46 and I want to find that perfect somebody… but I think you’ll see I embraced it.’

Calling herself a ‘free spirit’ she added that she was open to trying new things and meeting new people, adding that there was a ‘surprise literally everyday waking up’.

Crystal meanwhile said: ‘It was a very different experience for me. I believe that when you’re so close together for a certain number of days, you don’t realise how connected you will become with people you’re actually getting up with, you’re cooking together, you’re doing activities together, you are together every day all day for weeks.

‘It was just amazing to me how connected I got to a lot of people, even the women, I made long-term friends.’

She did however admit: ‘I particularly was not too excited for someone to be around the same age as my son, although I have dated young men in the past just to have a little fun.’

Crystal went on: ‘Believe it or not, when you’re in this age group, your 40s and 50s, we do get a lot of younger guys that are attracted to us and it’s a big decision, like how do I handle this? Like, where’s this going?

‘Because I also feel like at this age, we are ready to settle down and be serious, and so we’re trying to determine if this 25-year-old or this 30-year-old has the same mindset, so I had a little bit of doubt, but at the same time I was very optimistic about what could happen.’

And while Crystal had concerns herself of finding love with someone the age of her son, she did say the rest of her family were only concerned about whether it would be good for her health, being used to her doing ‘crazy stuff’ like this.

‘My son was just happy as long as I’m happy,’ Christina echoed.

Despite the criticism the show has already raised though, Christina and Crystal are urging viewers to go in with open minds, saying the backlash based on season one hasn’t been ‘fair’.

‘I don’t think we should be judged based on the first season,’ Crystal began. ‘I see a lot of criticism, but at the same time, I’m thinking just wait until it comes out, a lot of people who give the criticism are going to be the very ones that are going to watch it, just because they’re interested in seeing what’s going to happen.’

She added: ‘People can be very judgy, but you can’t really feed into it… as long as we know what to expect and they don’t, I think that’s the beauty of it.’

Christina agreed, saying: ‘It’s two totally different seasons. I’m a very non-judgemental person, it’s not my place to judge people. And I think people need to embrace this new season, as Crystal said, there’s so many different variations to the season.

‘When you watch it, you’re going to see that. People judge every day, and they just need to watch it and give it a chance.’

The second series of Milf Manor is available to stream in the UK from Monday 29th April on discovery+ with new episodes dropping weekly.
