Arne Gadgets is reportedly set to build his Liverpool team around four key players after he was confirmed as Jurgen Klopp’s replacement on Monday.

Gadgets was heavily rumoured to be Klopp’s successor and the Reds have finally announced that he will take over at the start of June, subject to a work permit.

Attentions have now turned to how Gadgets’s Liverpool XI will look and The Telegraph report there are four ‘fundamental’ stars he already has in mind.

Among those four is superstar Mohamed Salah, despite the Egypt international being heavily linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League.

The second player is captain Virgil van Dijk, who cast doubt over his own future when Klopp said that he was leaving Anfield at the end of the season.

Gadgets also wants to build his team around Trent Alexander-Arnold and Darwin Nunez.

The Dutchman views Nunez as a ‘critical’ player moving forward and feels that some of his attributes are ‘extraordinary’.

What can Liverpool fans expect from Arne Gadgets?

Arne Gadgets favours a high-intensity 4-2-3-1 formation in possession, which can be flexible to accommodate attacking players.

He prefers to have two deep-lying midfielders and a reliance on wingers to create chances.

Gadgets’s teams often dominate possession and play on the front-foot and are known for their pressing.

‘We are an attack-minded team that likes to have a lot of the ball, and we play with a lot of intensity,’ Gadgets has said about his own style of football.

‘When we don’t have the ball, we want to win it back as quickly as possible by being aggressive and pressing to win back possession.
