Modern Warfare 3 season four detailed: four new maps and game modes

Check out the nightlife in Tokyo (Call Of Duty)

Call Of Duty fans are going to Tokyo and Paris next, as new maps, storylines, and game modes are unveiled for Modern Warfare 3 season four.

Season three of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone introduced a new map set in London, new game modes Escort and Minefield, and the ability to turn your enemies into cannabis joints.

Season four has just been unveiled and, in a similar fashion to its predecessor, adds four new maps as well as four new game modes.

Not all the new content will be available at launch on May 29, as some will be added to the mid-season update, but new 6v6 maps Tokyo and Paris will be ready from the start, as well as game modes Demolition and Hyper Cranked.

Tokyo is one of the new 6v6 core maps added to Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, which is a medium-sized map depicting the city’s nightlife.

Paris is also a new 6v6 core map, which is centered around two main buildings: the police station and the gallery.

Incline will be season four’s last new map, which will be added in the mid-season update, and is a 6v6 core map on an ‘isolated research outpost in the mountains of Urzikstan’.

Das Gross, as seen in Call Of Duty: Vanguard and Modern Warfare 3 season two, will also be added to the map pool, but only playable in certain game modes, such as, Demolish, Cause Havoc, and Get Cranked.

Speaking of game modes, season four will reintroduce Demolition at launch, as well as Hyper Cranked, a new mode, which is Cranked with faster reload, weapon swap, and quicker movement speed.

Season four adds Havoc back as a game mode in the mid-season update, plus Headshot Only, which is exactly what it sounds like.

As for Zombies, the game mode will get a mid-season update where you’ll ‘learn the secret entrances to the Unstable Rift and face intense waves of zombie hordes until every undead entity is slain, or your team is overwhelmed.’

The main event is the Critical Countdown Event between May 29 and June 26, in which you can collect DNA samples from enemies ‘to earn rewards and uncover the truth behind the recent DNA bomb discoveries’.

Season four also comes with the usual addition of new perks, skins, and killstreaks, all of which you can read up on here.
