If you love crisps and American treats, these all-new flavours will be right up your street.

Inspired by American comfort food, McCoy’s has launched two new additions to its roster of ridge cut crisps: Grilled Cheese and Flamin’ Fajita.

The brand’s Epic Eats range already has a host of iconic flavours, including Chip Shop Curry Sauce and Spicy Salsa, but the latest offerings are more of an homage to traditional American diners and food stands found across the US.

Of the new lines, McCoy’s said: ‘These bold flavours capture the essence of culinary treasures found along the open road.’

It also said that the Grilled Cheese taste was inspired by the idea of a ‘perfectly toasted cheese sandwich’ and aims to recreate that for crisp lovers.

The Flamin’ Fajita, meanwhile, was created to conjure up memories of travelling through Texas and the Deep South.

McCoy’s think it will appeal much more to those who love spicy flavours and says it is packed with ‘smoky goodness’.

Imagine what Jack Kerouac would have made of these!

Amy Heap, marketing manager at KP Snacks, added: ‘We are thrilled to be expanding the McCoy’s Epic Eats range for fans who are seeking something fresh and exciting.

‘At McCoy’s, we’re famous for delivering bold flavours with an unbeatable crunch, and our new Grilled Cheese and Flamin’ Fajita flavours do not disappoint!’

The new ranges come as it was revealed that a UK favourite crisp flavour has been banned in the EU.

Smoky bacon crisps were banned after a report found that artificial smoke flavourings could be linked to health concerns such as cancer.

Also part of the Epic Eats range are Nacho Cheese and Bangin’ BBQ.

You can grab a six pack of the new ranges from £2.25 from Asda, Morrisons, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s.
