Patsy Palmer has dropped the biggest hint yet that her time as Bianca Jackson on EastEnders hasn’t quite come to an end – as she looks set to reunite with on-screen dad David Wicks (Michael French).

We last saw Bianca on our screens in June, when she drove out of Albert Square in a taco takeaway van and into the sunset.

The move was prompted after a catastrophic falling out with her family – she’d kept prospective son-in-law Zack Hudson’s (James Farrar) affair with Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Branning) a secret from adoptive daughter Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) and the ordeal was exposed on her wedding day.

Bianca was planning on joining Whitney for a new life up North, but she left without her.

Settling into Walford life once again, she found herself a job at the Bridge Street Café – but it wasn’t long before she began clashing with sister Sonia’s (Natalie Cassidy) boyfriend Reiss (Jonny Freeman) over his somewhat questionable behaviour.

She’d discovered that Reiss was using his comatose wife Debbie’s cash to fund Sonia’s IVF, and with neither of them agreeing it was morally wrong, Bianca left the area and all we know is that she’s ‘safe’, despite suffering from depression.

However, it now seems that she could soon ride back into Sonia’s life alongside her estranged father David.

It was announced last night that actor Michael French would be reprising his role later this year for a short stint, a decade on from his last appearance.

Taking to Instagram, Patsy posted a cryptic message alongside a photo of them both, reading ‘Every girl needs her Father.’

She followed it up with a new cast photo of David, saying: ‘I love you on screen papa. Friends for over 30 years and one of the best actors I know. Great shout [executive producer] Chris Clenshaw. Another spectacular casting.’

Father and daughter have somewhat of a chequered past, as when he was unaware of their relationship, he developed romantic feelings for her.

Bianca’s mum Carol Jackson (Lindsey Coulson) revealed that she hadn’t had an abortion years earlier as he’d originally thought, and in a bizarre and rather controversial twist, he later admitted to still being sexually attracted to her despite being made aware of her parentage.

We’re sure sparks will fly with Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) too, as she once hired a hitman to murder her husband Ian (Adam Woodyatt) so they could be together.

Despite being shot, he survived and David was forced to leave Walford after becoming alienated from his friends and family.
