007 himself Daniel Craig has took some Coronation Street inspiration with his latest look, and we’re obsessed.

We’re used to see him donning a black suit and chasing around in the criminal underworld, but now fans are a little shaken, not stirred to see him sporting something that wouldn’t go amiss whilst shopping in Bettabuy.

The name’s Watts, Curly Watts.

During a shoot for Spanish label Loewe, Daniel, 56, looked strikingly similar to the iconic character, played by actor Kevin Kennedy in the ITV soap for 20 years.

Former binman and supermarket manager Curly is a much-missed face on the street, having left in 2003 to join second wife Emma (Angela Lonsdale) on her job transfer to Newcastle.

Of course he’s best remembered for being in a turbulent relationship with ditsy barmaid Raquel Wolstenhulme (Sarah Lancashire).

With wavy curtains, a knitted jumper and some giant glasses (that are also giving Deirdre Barlow vibes), Daniel is worlds away from how we’d normally see him.

The unusual styling was instantly picked up on X, with one fan saying: ‘Daniel Craig with some Curley Watts chic.’

However, isn’t the first Coronation Street/James Bond crossover. Former Bond Girl Honor Blackman popped up in the soap as Rula Romanoff, an old friend of Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) in 2004, forty years on from her starring role alongside Sean Connery.

Their reunion didn’t last long though – as Rita and Norris Cole (Malcolm Hebden) found themselves in a compromising situation when she invited them both to be swingers.

Another name that has appeared in both British institutions is the absolutely fabulous Joanna Lumley. Three years after appearing in On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, she crossed over to the cobbles as Ken Barlow’s (William Roache) love interest Elaine Perkins.

She was invited back in 2009, though when her schedules couldn’t facilitate it, the storyline was altered and the character became Martha Fraser (Dynasty’s Stephanie Beacham) instead – but Ken still went on to have yet another affair.

More recently, Lucien Laviscount, who played Ryan Connor’s made Ben Richardson in 2009 and also had roles in Waterloo Road and Grange Hill, has been tipped to be the man taking over as Bond.

Perhaps there’s opportunity for Daniel to become the Rovers Return’s newest potman when he hands over the keys to his famous Aston Martin.
