A royal reunion with Prince Harry could be on the cards if King Charles follows advice from spiritual leaders.
It’s hardly surprising for the head of the Church of England to seek ‘spiritual nourishment’ from religious leaders.
Charles has been doing quite a bit of it since becoming king, and those religous advisors appear to be encouraging reconciliation with his estranged son, a source told the Mail.
They said: ‘Charles misses his son. He still loves Harry and wants him back for personal reasons – regardless that he and Meghan do not [want to] return to royal life.
‘Harry will always be Charles’s much-loved son. He has faith that Harry could return.
‘He misses the bond they once had, and the door will always remain open to him and his family. He does not want years of discord and disharmony clouding his reign.’
Prince Harry was a noticeable absence from a Royal Family gathering in Balmoral, attended even by the Princess of Wales, who has made few public appearances since she was diagnosed with cancer in January.
Contact between father and son has been patchy since before Harry and his wife Meghan Markle stepped down from royal duties four years ago.
Harry wasn’t pictured with his dad when Charles was crowned king, and he declined to stay in a Royal residence during a visit for the Invictus Games in May.
The offer had been seen as something of an olive branch from Charles, who hasn’t met Harry since the prince flew over after Charles’ cancer diagnosis in February.
While his elder son Prince William is reportedly so angry, he’s considering not inviting his brother to his future coronation, Charles appears more open to a truce.
Harry may have spiritual advisors’ encouragement of the Christian act of forgiveness to thank for that.
An insider told the Mail: ‘Faith has always been a part of Charles’s life and something he’s explored, but since becoming King it is playing a more central role.’
They added: ‘That reliance on faith and quiet contemplation has become a comfort and asset to him and helps him cope with the role as he adapts to being King.’
