At least seven people have died and dozens hospitalised after a bus overturned in the US.
The bus was travelling on the Interstate 20, in Warren County, Mississippi when it left the road and crashed at 12.40am local time today.
Six passengers were pronounced dead at the scene, while another died at hospital, repots CNN.
At least 37 people were taken to hospital with injuries.
Among the fatalities were two siblings aged six and 16. the new site said.
Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said: ‘Anytime you have people injured or killed, it’s tragic but when you have a situation like this where you have multiple fatalities and multiple injuries, it makes it even worse.’
Tow truck driver Keith Allison told CNN affiliate WAPT that the 2018 Volvo bus ended up in a ditch and many passengers were ejected.
It’s not believed another vehicle was involved in the crash, which happened east of Vicksberg.
Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division are investigating.
