A mother who claimed that she sold her six-year-old son to a woman at a grocery store is wanted in the missing boy’s assumed murder.

Cindy Rodriguez Singh, 39, has been named a capital murder suspect in the homicide of her son, Noel Alvarez, announced FBI Dallas on Thursday.

Noel, who had disabilities including chronic lung disease, was last seen in October 2022.

Officers with the Everman Police Department did a welfare check for the boy in March of last year, during which Rodriguez Singh ‘lied to officers when she explained that the boy was living with his biological father in Mexico, and had been there since November 2022’, stated FBI Dallas.

But a couple days later, Rodriguez Singh, her husband and six other young children got on a flight departing for India – and Noah was not with them.

Rodriguez Singh told Noel’s grandmother that she sold him to a woman at Fiesta Market, which is a Latin-American supermarket chain, according to a search warrant seen by Law&Crime.

Days before Noel’s apparent death, his mom called him ‘evil, possessed, or having a demon in him’, said Everman Police Chief Craig Spencer.

‘We are truly unified with the common goals of seeking justice for Noel and sharing the message that there is no such thing as a throw-away child,’ stated Spencer.

Rodriguez Singh was last seen on March 22, 2023, when the family flew to India, and is believed to have connections to that country and Mexico.

She is described as being 5-foot-1 to 5-foot-3 and 120 to 140 points, of medium complexion with brown eyes and hair and with tattoos on her back, right arm and hand and both legs.

FBI Dallas Special Agent in Charge Chad Yarbrough and Spencer announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Rodriguez Singh.

‘I am confident that the combination of publicity, significant reward offering, and the team of experienced investigators assembled by the FBI Fort Worth Resident Agency violent crime squad, Everman Police Department, Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office and Texas DPS-Texas Rangers will lead to her arrest,’ stated Yarbrough.

‘The community of Everman needs justice for Noel.’

Anyone with information on Rodriguez Singh’s whereabouts is urged to contact the FBI Dallas field office.
