The Court of Appeal in Abuja has affirmed Asue Ighodalo as the authentic candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the forthcoming September 21 governorship election in Edo State.
The court struck out appeals filed by Arthur Esene and Anselm Ojezua, both aspirants in the February 22 primary elections of the party, seeking to disqualify Ighodalo from flying the party’s flag at the election.
Delivering the lead judgment on Friday, Justice Hamma Barka dismissed the suit for lack of merit.
