Asus has announced the TUF Gaming GT502 Horizon chassis featuring an aggressive look and enough space for your dream build. Thanks to its dual-chamber design, you can hide the PSU, leaving a clear look over your fancy hardware.
The TUF Gaming GT502 Horizon is a mid-tower PC case measuring 285mm x 450mm x 446mm and boasting a 270° panoramic view. Available in black or white, this chassis projects military vibes with its stamped panels and sharp corners, as you can expect from the TUF series. It reminds me of ships and vehicles in sci-fi movies, particularly the blocky rebel alliance starships or Stormtroopers in Star Wars.
Regardless of your preferences, this chassis has other characteristics that may pique your interest. For starters, you get support for ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards, plus the fancy vertical GPU mounts. You also find space for up to 200mm PSUs, 400mm graphics cards, 163mm CPU coolers, and four 2.5in/3.5in drives. Since the power supply is tucked away in its own chamber behind the motherboard, cable management and upgrades are a touch easier than they otherwise would be with the extra space. Building is a breeze.
What’s not a breeze but instead a gush of wind is the amount of air this chassis can push with up to 13 fan spaces. You can either fill the lot if you prefer the reliability of air cooling, or fit up to three 360mm liquid cooling radiators. These AIOs can mount to the top, front side, and behind the motherboard. It’s unclear if having all three at the same time is possible, but it’s not a big deal since most users will likely only install one or two radiators anyway.
On the I/O side, there’s nothing special. You get two USB 3.2 Gen 1 plus one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C, alongside an audio combo jack and an LED control button. On the subject of lighting, you can increase the amount of bling this case has by adding Asus’ custom ARGB light kit, which is sold separately.
Regarding maintenance, Asus filters all intakes, and you can easily lift the entire case using the woven straps on top. This come in fantastically handy for lugging it outside and blowing some compressed air for a spring clean.
While Asus didn’t share pricing for the TUF Gaming GT502 Horizon chassis, we expect it to retail below the £200 mark. The lower the better, as it would face the beautiful Hyte Y60 and its triple glass panels.
