Armed men have again abducted Tasiu Habibu, the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), in Kidandan village of Giwa Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Habibu was re-abducted on Saturday after armed men invaded his community at about 9 pm, on Saturday. He had spent 60 days in captivity when he was first abducted.

The recent incident also witnessed the invasion of the assailants into the residence of the chairman’s neighbour, where three children were abducted.

The armed, having shot sporadically to stir tension in the community, reportedly shot one, and abducted four in total.

The Kaduna State police Spokesperson, ASP Mansir Hassan, could not be reached as of press time.
