The Imo State Police Command says it has arrested eight suspected criminals that set ablaze parts of National Open University (NOUN) Ezeoke Nsu in Ehime Mbano and the residence of former senator who represented Imo North, Frank Ibezim.

The Commissioner of Police CP Aboki Danjuma had issued a mandate on apprehending the criminals that perpetrated the act and deployed the commands tactical unit to carry out the task.

According to the Commands Spokesperson, Henry Okoye on Monday, about eight persons suspected to be the criminals that perpetrated the act have been arrested.

He said: “I am pleased to announce that over eight suspects have been arrested in connection with the arson incidents in Ehime Mbano.

“Investigations are ongoing. More details will be communicated in due course.”
