Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun has released a public statement following the death of his daughter, Zeenat Balogun.

Kemi Filani reported last week that it was a black Sunday for Saidi Balogun as he lost his first daughter. The Yoruba actor, via his Instagram page, shared a photo of a candlelight with flowers surrounding it, with several birds and heartbroken emojis.

Now taking to his Instagram page, he shared a screenshot of the family statement where they expressed their profound gratitude to their friends, colleagues, and well-wishers for being their beacon of light in their darkest hour.

The family statement described the deceased as a warrior who gave life all and was the embodiment of joy, acceptance, and resilience. The late Zeenat was further described as a die-hard believer in the phrase never give up.

“We extend our sincerest gratitude to everyone who reached out to my family during this difficult time. We have been deeply moved by the overwhelming care, the heartfelt messages, and the many condolence visits. Your presence, prayers, and acts of kindness have truly touched our hearts. The love and support from friends, neighbors, and even those we have not seen in years have been a constant source of strength. Your compassion has made this challenging period more bearable, and for that, we are immensely grateful”.
