Warning! This article contains spoilers for Agatha All Along episodes 8 and 9
Wiccan’s MCU costume reveal in Agatha All Along includes some sneaky references to his parents, Scarlet Witch and Vision. Agatha All Along‘s two-episode finale sees Billy Kaplan earn his full Wiccan costume, which he first wears after finishing the final trial in the Witches’ Road. Wiccan’s comic-accurate suit and hood were previously teased in WandaVision, where a young Billy Maximoff wore a Halloween version of the costume.
On Instagram, Agatha All Along costume designer Daniel Selon shares a post explaining the design process behind Billy’s Wiccan costume. Selon reveals that Wiccan’s costume includes symbols such as “Wanda’s crown, the mind stone, pentacle, moon phase to name a few”. The Agatha All Along team also “printed the texture of the Scarlet Witch’s costume (from Dr. Strange) on the outside and printed Vision’s iconically graphic cape on the underside so that his parents would always be with him.” In his post’s caption, Selon affectionately calls Billy and Tommy as “my children”. What MCU Wiccan’s Costume Details Mean
Billy’s Wiccan Costume May Literally Get Its Design Directly From His Dead Parents
According to Agatha All Along, Billy Maximoff’s spirit chose Billy Kaplan’s body to reincarnate after Wanda Maximoff undid her hex in the WandaVision finale. Just before Billy gets his Wiccan costume in Agatha All Along episode 8, he locates Tommy Maximoff’s spirit and places it in the dying body of another teenager. Given his power to tap into his previous life, Billy may have influenced the design of his Wiccan costume, unconsciously placing the patterns he saw on his parents’ garments into his own outfit.

Marvel Just Subtly Revealed Something Devastating For Your Scarlet Witch Movie Hopes
While many have hoped for a Scarlet Witch solo movie, it is now beginning to look like Wanda may return to the MCU in another capacity.
Apart from WandaVision, Billy’s Wiccan costume was also teased in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ final battle, where a Wiccan statue in the Scarlet Witch temple atop Mount Wundagore foreshadowed the hero’s arrival. Hence, Wiccan may have always been destined to be reborn, complete with a long-sleeved shirt, pants, a hood, and a headpiece similar to the Scarlet Witch’s costume. Wanda Maximoff’s recreation of Vision inside Westview may have also been relayed to Billy’s unconscious mind.

Wiccan’s Costume Shows How Good Superhero Costumes Are Designed
Billy’s Wiccan costume effectively reinforces the connection between Joe Locke’s Billy and Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch. Although Scarlet Witch doesn’t appear in Agatha All Along, Billy’s quest to learn about his previous life and his complicated alliance with Agatha Harkness contributes to Wanda Maximoff’s MCU story in her absence. The Scarlet Witch and Vision references in Billy’s Wiccan costume are a beautiful extra touch, as they prove that Billy treasures the memory of his parents even after reincarnating.
