“The Hot Weather Seems To Have Corroded His Mind” – Mike Bamiloye’s Son, Joshua Slams Peter Obi Over His Comment On Vigils; Netizens React

Joshua Bamiloye, the son of Evangelist Mike Bamiloye has come under fire for berating Peter Obi over his comment on vigils.

The 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, in an interview on the Honest Bunch Podcast, declared that politics and church must be dismantled in Nigeria. Obi said that the night vigil should be turned into the night shift so that people can be productive.

Reacting to it via his Twitter page, Joshua questioned how vigils have made Nigeria unproductive. He stated that the mentality of blaming church attendance for Nigeria’s problems is a very misguided one and an insult.

Joshua educated him that vigils are commonly held on Fridays, right before the weekend, and if anyone wants to be productive, then recreational events, comedy shows, and concerts should be banned. Joshua added that the hot weather seems to have corroded his mind to the point that he fails to think clearly and address the real problem.

“So now vigils are the reason Nigeria isn’t productive? Boy, the mentality of blaming church attendance for Nigeria’s problems is a very misguided one and, at best, an insult.

Vigils are commonly held on Fridays, right before the weekend. If we want to be productive, why not also ban recreational events, comedy shows, and concerts ban every social gathering?
