Emma Raducanu has firmly put to bed rumours that her Porsche sponsorship deal is ‘heading to the scrapyard’ with a new social media post.

Reports emerged last month that Porsche had ‘taken away’ the Briton’s £125k 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet and that it ‘used to have pride of place at her home.’

Raducanu was later seen on a London Bus, which resulted in the tennis star being ‘trolled’ and led to unfounded speculation it was her new mode of transport.

Porsche is known to withdraw vehicles from celebrity ambassadors if they are not getting value for money – but a company spokesperson swiftly rubbished the rumours that Raducanu’s lucrative endorsement deal was under any threat.

Raducanu has already addressed the Porsche reports once but has now decided to end the rumours once and for all with a second post on her Instagram story.

The 2021 US Open champion uploaded a picture of her new Porsche, seen in a parking bay, with a simple two-word caption which read: ‘Good day.’

The £100,000 Porsche Cayenne appears to be the same car Raducanu was recently seen driving around in.

‘Emma Raducanu is a global brand ambassador for Porsche and there have not been any changes within our successful partnership since it started in 2022,’ a Porsche spokesperson said. ‘We are very happy with our partnership.’

Raducanu, currently ranked world No.58, is set to make her return from a foot injury this month to feature for Great Britain at the Billie Jean King Cup finals.

It has been a fine year for Raducanu on the WTA Tour with quarter-final runs in Stuttgart, Eastbourne, Washington and Seoul.

Raducanu also produced her first two career wins over top-10 opponents and equalled her best run at Wimbledon, reaching the last 16.

It has been a season of rebuilding for the British star after long-term injury problems across both 2022 and 2023, which saw her undergo triple surgery.

Raducanu, who turns 22 next week, has also endured some tough results this year and faced huge criticism after she lost to a qualifier at the Madrid Open in April.
