MaXXXine is the final entry in the trilogy, bringing back Goth’s protagonist from the first movie as she seeks fame in 1980s Hollywood while being stalked by a dangerous threat. While it would have been convenient to watch all three X movies in one place, fans can at least watch X and MaXXXine together on Max. Having these two films together is fitting as, unlike the prequel Pearl, MaXXXine takes place after the events of X and wraps up the trilogy. It takes inspiration from 80s slasher flicks as well as the Italian Giallo genre of horror movies to deliver a movie that puts young Maxine back in the spotlight after her escape from Pearl in X.
