Former adult film actress Jenna Jameson is providing viewers with an update on her recovery after being hospitalized for nearly a year due to a health scare.

Jameson, 49, disclosed that she suffered from a mysterious illness that left her with “extreme muscle weakness,” which she claimed doctors later ascribed to a “multitude” of conditions, including Guillain-Barré syndrome and blood cancer.

Jameson revealed to Entertainment Tonight that the onset of her symptoms occurred abruptly. “I was doing exceptionally well until I suddenly began collapsing and lost my ability to walk… It was decided to admit me to the hospital. I estimate that I spent nine months in the hospital.”

During her hospital visit, the former Playboy model insisted, doctors “could not put their finger on what it was.”

Later, she was diagnosed with “a variety of conditions,” including Guillain-Barré syndrome and blood malignancy. Doctors also informed Jameson that she had six to twelve months to live.

“When I was told I didn’t have a lot of time left to live, I think I just balled up,” she admitted. “I didn’t really know how to digest that.”

Jameson chose to flee the hospital after months without a definitive diagnosis or relief from her symptoms.

“I finally reached the point where I thought, ‘I have to take my health into my own hands,’ so I wheeled myself out of the hospital in a wheelchair,” she told the media outlet.

“I wound up taking matters into my own hands and making them occur. I knew I still had a great deal of life to live.” Once Jameson was released from the hospital, she resolved to adopt a more holistic approach and made significant life adjustments, including adopting a healthy diet.

Jameson continued, “I had a lot of memory problems and lost years and years and years of my life, so I began seeing a cognitive therapist who puts you through puzzles and all of these things, and everything began reconnecting.”

“I experience a resurgence of life when I eat appropriately, keto-wise. I am energized.”

Although Jameson stated that she feels “like sunshine again,” she is not feeling “100%,” but rather “under about 75%.” She also acknowledges her “great p”

In May, Jameson married podcast presenter Jessi Lawless. Meanwhile, Jameson was initially hospitalized for nearly two months at the beginning of 2022. Despite using a walker, Jameson was unable to walk during her illness.

Jameson and her ex-partner, Lior Bitton, have a young daughter. She also shares adolescent twins with her ex-husband, Journey, and Jesse Ortiz. Representatives for Jameson did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Fox News Digital.
