According to Mirror.co.uk, the comedian was just seven years old when his father died. Scott was last seen sprinting up the stairs of the Marriott World Trade Centre just prior to the destruction of the building by the collapse of the Twin Towers.

Pete stated that his father’s demise, which he learned about on television, has left him with PTSD and that he has been undergoing a great deal of trauma therapy recently. Before the tragic events of September 11, 2001, the ‘Saturday Night Live’ star stated that his father told him he would pick him up on that day.

According to Mirror.co.uk, Pete said, “My mother picked me up. She did not inform me of the situation for roughly three days. “She kept telling me that my father was at work, but I had no idea.”

“My mom’s like, ‘You’re just grounded; you’re not permitted to watch TV.’ I exclaimed, “What? I did nothing. Then, one evening, he turned on the television and saw his father. “I thought, ‘Oh, OK.’” And they were like, “These are all the deceased firefighters.”

“It was strange because we didn’t know he was deceased for about three weeks,” Davidson explained, adding, “They were still finding people. They were rescuing people from dire situations, and there was a glimmer of hope. As if it were nothing but ups and downs, and nobody knew how to handle it.”

Davidson disclosed that he has been seeing a trauma therapist to help him manage his post-traumatic stress disorder and borderline personality disorder diagnoses.

The actor disclosed that his father’s demise left him with abandonment issues for years. “Dad says he’ll fetch you up, but he never does. “For the rest of my life, I don’t believe anyone, and I’m trying to learn how to,” he said. “Hollywood isn’t exactly the best place to acquire this skill.”
