A man from Maryland was arrested for sexual solicitation of a juvenile after he purportedly asked a police officer posing as a teenager for sex.
Maryland State Police stated in a press release that Luis Esteban Borunda, 65, has been charged with one count of sexual solicitation of a juvenile and is being held without bond at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.
Borunda allegedly engaged in indecent conversation with a 13-year-old girl via a smartphone app on August 22.
However, he was actually communicating with a Fort Meade Army Criminal Investigation Office agent posing as a juvenile girl.
According to police, the individual also sent the undercover officer a filtered photo of himself.
Borunda proposed that we meet on Wednesday in Anne Arundel County. He arrived at the meeting location, where he was arrested by the Maryland State Police and affiliate members of the Maryland Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
There may be additional victims who have not yet been identified, according to the police. Authorities urge parents whose children may have had contact with Borunda to contact authorities.
