AEDC Blames Power Outtage In Abuja On Malfunctioning Feeder

The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company has acknowledged that some areas of Abuja are currently experiencing power outages.

AEDC announced this to its customers on Tuesday via its official X handle.

The company stated that the power outage affected residents in Wuse Zone 3, parts of Zone 2, Zone 5, and the surrounding areas of the Federal Capital Territory.

AEDC attributed the power outage to a malfunctioning feeder supplying the impacted areas.

AEDC did not, however, specify when the impacted areas’ power supplies will be restored.

It said, “This is to notify the locals in Wuse Zone 3, parts of Zone 2, Zone 5, and the surrounding areas that the present power outage is being caused by a malfunction on the feeder that supplies these areas.

“Our committed technical staff is working nonstop to promptly restore the supply. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused as a result of inadequacies in power supply.”
