All American Season 7 Release Date Confirmed By The CW

The CW reveals when All American will return for its highly anticipated season 7. The long-running sports drama, inspired by the life of former NFL player Spencer Paysinger, continues to captivate audiences with its football thrills, classroom drama, and exploration of the intersection between race and class. Featuring Daniel Ezra as Spencer James, a high-schooler who is recruited from South Crenshaw High to the elite Beverly Hills High School to play football, the series has become one of The CW’s standout successes, with a growing audience and critical acclaim for its authentic storytelling and core characters.

The network revealed (via Deadline) that All American season 7 will debut with a special sneak peek on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 8 p.m. Starting February 3, the series will resume its regular timeslot on Mondays at 8 p.m. The official logline teases a return to the sports drama’s roots with some new faces:

Season 7 is taking it back to where it all began: Beverly Hills High and South Crenshaw High. It’s the same heart, same NFL dream, same crosstown rivalry, same messy hormones, ushered in by a new generation of LA teens, a new Beverly Coach and our OG vortex fam, who are surprised to find they’re supposed to be the responsible adults now.

What All American’s Upcoming Season 7 Means

A Passing Of The Torch

All American season 7 marks a significant evolution for the series as it bridges its original characters with a new generation of high school athletes. A major shift includes Ezra, who will not return as a full-time cast member, appearing in a recurring guest role as Spencer instead. Several other key players, including Samantha Logan (Olivia), have also been relegated to guest status. This shift paves the way for the introduction of new characters, such as Osy Ikhile as Beverly High’s new football coach, and Elijah M. Cooper (9-1-1), who will play Yasi, South Crenshaw High’s quarterback.
