Amanda Holden has made her feelings clear on Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne.
The Britain’s Got Talent judge wasn’t happy about watching them ‘diss’ her co-star Simon Cowell.
After sitting on the panel with Simon for 17 years – the longest any celebrity has stayed on one of his talent shows – they’ve formed a firm friendship, so when Amanda, 53, heard the former X Factor judges’ comments on Celebrity Big Brother she had thoughts.
‘I hated seeing certain people in a reality show dissing Simon – he’s the person who’s given them all the chances, given them a lot of money and a lifestyle they probably wouldn’t have had,’ said Amanda.
She continued to Daily Mail: ‘It’s bitter and pathetic. It was like Cinderella with her two sisters in the background – just stabby, stabby, stabby.’
Amanda added that they looked ‘nasty and awful’ and it resembled a pantomime.
‘There was a friendship there and an opportunity. So however the business ends, you should have respect for the opportunity that was given to you and the pay cheque that was given to you. Just be gracious. There was none of that and I can’t bear it,’ she concluded.
In the house, Sharon, who was a judge on and off between 2004 and 2017, said: ‘That’s Simon, he cuts you off, cuts you off, cuts you off. He doesn’t know how to keep friends.’ To prove her point, Sharon claimed she turned down The Masked Singer in America, as she was contracted on the UK’s X Factor.
‘So then they cast it and then when Simon, well he didn’t call, but they called and said “No you’re not doing it [The X Factor]” I missed a huge gig. So I was furious,’ she recalled.
‘Someone who dresses the same for three decades, they don’t see that it’s not right. No one’s gonna tell him but everything, the same, the same, the same.’
Louis, who appeared in almost every series on the singing competition, chipped in: ‘I haven’t talked to him at all, nothing. Zero.’ Before entering the house, he also spoke about their relationship: ‘I love him. I think the world of him, I really do. I know his faults. I know he’s not perfect. He wears stupid clothes, stupid haircut, new faces . . . his face has changed so much.’
Simon, 64, wasn’t the only celebrity Louis, 71, discussed during his time in the house – he also had conversations about Cheryl, Bob Geldolf, and Jedward whom he called ‘vile’ – the twins decided to hit back. While, Sharon, 71, even had a dig at music icon Adele.
