AMD Ryzen AI HX Pro CPUs may launch in October

AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 370 and Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360 mobile CPUs could be released soon. This duo joins the regular Ryzen AI 300 series, offering a little extra for professionals.

According to AnhPhuH on X, the Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro 370 and Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360 are expected to hit digital shelves six months after the Pro 8000 series. This puts their potential release date around mid-October of this year. However, it’s unclear if these chips will be available on this date or simply announced. Don’t confuse these with the non-Pro Ryzen AI 300 series, which should hit the market by the end of this month after a short delay.

Both the regular and Pro versions of the Ryzen AI 300 series are based on Strix Point silicon. The difference resides in the Pro’s improved security and management options, which target commercial and professional users.

While we don’t yet know the exact core configuration of these parts, they should feature the same amount as their non-Pro equivalents. In other words, Ryzen AI 7 Pro 360 could include ten cores and 20 threads alongside a 12CU iGPU and an XDNA2 NPU, targeting a TDP between 15W and 54W. Ryzen AI 9 Pro HX 370, on the other hand, may get 12 cores and 24 threads with a 16CU iGPU and an XDNA2 NPU at the same power draw.

Being professional chips, these are likely to be set to a lower TDP to ensure a more stable and predictable performance. Power aside, we can expect the same 20% performance uplift rumoured for the non-Pro lineup. But as usual, we can’t be 100% sure until the official launch, so stay tuned.
