The Anambra State Government said it will commence the payment of the N70, 000 minimum wage next month.
The Governor of the state, Chukwuma Soludo stated this at Prof. Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Center, Awka while meeting with all principals and head teachers in public primary and secondary schools in the state.
He further declared that starting next week, the free education policy will be implemented for senior students in all public schools across Anambra.
He assured that despite the existing resource limitations, his administration will persist in its diligent efforts to fulfill its mandate.
The Governor additionally instructed that students in the senior classes who have already submitted their five thousand naira fees for the current term should receive a refund.
