One of Asus’ best professional monitors has just hit its lowest price yet, saving you around £400. Thanks to its Mini-LED panel and integrated calibration tools, this display is perfect for colour-critical work.

ProArt Display PA32UCXR has dipped to its lowest price yet, now asking for £3,299 on Amazon UK ($2,759.68 in the US), instead of £3,700+. For this amount, you get a 32in monitor rocking a 4K (3840 x 2160) resolution, powered by a Mini-LED panel. Mini-LED, for those unfamiliar, is an evolution of LCD screens but it uses much smaller LEDs. This allows it to offer more dimming zones, improving the HDR experience. They are also a good alternative to OLEDs as they don’t suffer from screen burn, not to forget that they get much brighter which is important in lit rooms or when mastering media. That said, Mini-LED still can’t beat OLEDs’ deep blacks and super-fast pixel response.

With that in mind, for its target audience, i.e. professionals needing good colour reproduction and high peek luminosity, the PA32UCXR has a lot to offer. For starters, Asus announces 100% sRGB, 99% Adobe RGB, 97% DCI-P3 and Rec. 2020 colour gamut coverage with true 10-bit colour depth using Quantum Dot technology. It also boasts a fantastic 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, with 1,600nits peak and 1,000nits of sustained full-screen brightness using a 2304-zone local dimming. The best part is you don’t have to put a reminder to calibrate your display since it features a built-in motorised colourimeter with hardware auto-calibration.

You can run the calibration process at any time or schedule it during off-hours through the OSD menu, and most importantly, you don’t need any software. The colour parameters are saved inside the monitor’s internal scaler IC chip instead of the operating system, which makes it effective on all content and applications.

Such capabilities allow PA32UCXR to claim VESA’s DisplayHDR 1400 and Dolby Vision certifications, in addition to Calman’s software support. A fantastic spec list, especially when it comes £400 cheaper.

The ergonomics are covered by a stand able to tilt -5° to 23°, swivel -30° to 30°, pivot -90° to 90°, and adjust height up to 100mm. The monitor also supports 100x100mm VESA mounts. Lastly, for I/O we get two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, plus dual Thunderbolt 4 with 90W power delivery. Not to forget the handy USB hub with a type C port.
