A body has been discovered on a popular UK beach in ‘unexplained circumstances’ after a passerby raised the alarm today.
Cops have launched an investigation after the body was found on a beach in Aberavon, Port Talbot, South Wales, around 9.25am.
Emergency services are still at the scene, with formal identification is yet to take place.
A South Wales Police spokesperson said: ‘South Wales Police was called at approximately 9:25am today (Wednesday, August 28) to a report of a body found by a member of the public at Aberavon Beach.
‘The person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
‘The death at this moment is being treated as unexplained.’
