A teenager described as a ‘friend and brother to everyone around him’ has been stabbed to death on a street in London.
Kamari Johnson, 16, died at the scene in Hayes on Friday afternoon, despite the air ambulance being sent to try and help him.
Another teenager, aged 17, has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
In a photo released by police, Kamari is seen posing for the camera in a grey suit and tie.
A GoFundMe page set up after his death has raised over £3,000, with organisers saying that funds would be used to build a well in his memory.
‘His smile stays with us all,’ the page said.
Police confirmed his identity yesterday, saying the stabbing happened in Bourne Avenue around 1.30pm.
Ambulance staff were on scene within minutes, but despite efforts to help he could not be saved.
His next of kin have been informed and his family are being supported by specially trained officers.
The teen arrested on suspicion of murder was arrested last night and remains in custody.

Any local residents who may have captured footage on doorbell or dashcam devices have been asked to come forward.
Detective chief inspector Alex Gammampila said: ‘Kamari’s murder has understandably caused shock and concern amongst the local community.
‘A team of experienced detectives is working tirelessly to establish what happened to Kamari and why he was attacked.
‘This evening’s arrest demonstrates the progress we are making and this is in no small part due to the assistance we’ve had from the community.
‘We need to work together to ensure Kamari’s family get the answers they deserve about what happened to him.’
In the fundraising page where over 200 have donated, organiser Mehdi Khamliche wrote: ‘We are raising the funds to build a well in the name of Kamari Johnson (KB) that was fatally stabbed to death innocently so that he can receive good deeds continuously to help him reach Jannah In Sha Allah.
‘He was a loved friend and brother to everyone around him, his smile stays with us all. LLK. If we surpass the amount to build a well, we will put the excess money towards building a masjid In Sha Allah, this will all count as Sadaqah Jariya for him. Please keep our fellow brother in your duas and prayers.’
