A boy has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after being found in the River Thames.
An urgent police appeal was launched to find Daniel Alaby, five, on Friday. He had gone missing from his home in Thamesmead, south-east London, with police saying he was ‘last seen playing in his room’.
At 6.23pm officers looking for Daniel pulled a child out of the river, the Met Police confirmed.
They started CPR until the paramedics arrived.
The child, believed to be Daniel, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
His family is being supported by officers.
