Cat Deeley has been presenting This Morning for just under three months, and she may now not be totally happy with her decision to join the ITV show.

Alongside Ben Shephard, she was announced as the new Monday-Thursday host in February.

Previously, Cat, 47, was living in Los Angeles up until six months ago and relocated to London to take on the role.

On her first episode, she excitedly told viewers: ‘We are so excited to be here this show has been a part of our lives for so long.’

However, as the reality of her new life sets in, Cat reportedly fears that she has made a ‘mistake’ and misses the life she created across the pond where she presented So You Think You Can Dance.

‘Cat is really feeling the pressure at This Morning,’ a source told OK!

‘She is really loving working with Ben and the partnership that they are building but she’s well aware of the critics and the falling ratings.’

Although they launched to one million viewers, they’ve now dropped by half.

The source added: ‘She feels she and Ben haven’t been given enough time and that they are the fall guys for everything that went on at the show over the past few years.’

Cat and Ben, 49, joined This Morning after months of rotating hosts. Stars such as Rylan, Josie Gibson, and Craig Doyle stepped in until ITV decided on the permanent hosts.

The uncertainty came after Phillip Schofield announced he would be leaving the show in May 2023 after 20 years on the sofa.

At the time Schofield said: ‘I have always been proud to cover fascinating stories on This Morning. But recently, This Morning itself has become the story.

‘Throughout my career in TV – including the very difficult last few days – I have always done my best to be honourable and kind.’

Days later, he admitted to having an ‘unwise, but not illegal’ affair with a younger colleague on This Morning.

Holly, 43, walked away from This Morning after 14 years in October. Following an alleged plot to kidnap and murder, she released a statement that said it was a ‘difficult goodbye’ but she had to ‘make this decision for me and family’.

It was originally reported that Cat had rejected the This Morning job offer, but she is said to have eventually been persuaded after being offered a salary she couldn’t refuse. Worries about safety are said to have also been part of Cat’s choice to move back to the UK with TV presenter husband Patrick Kielty, and their children Milo, eight, and James, five, there.

‘Cat’s worried about the boys’ safety over there [in the States] so they made the decision to come back for family life and she knows she did the right thing,’ the source claimed.

‘However, part of her still yearns for the LA life and they may reassess if This Morning doesn’t work out.’

In 2019, Patrick and Milio were at Century City Mall in LA gun incident, when they were instructed to take cover as a shooter was on the loose.
