Chocolate fans are swooning over the latest twist on an old classic, with Nestlé bringing yet another brand new Aero flavour.
The bubbly chocolate bar has been hailed on X (formerly Twitter) as the ‘best chocolate ever’ and fans were thrilled in January when it got a makeover, as Nestlé announced the chocolate hazelnut Aero bar.
And the confectionery brand has done it again, unveiling another new version of the bar, this time with a strawberry filling — which is one of the UK’s favourite chocolate flavours.
While the new product isn’t out yet, Nestlé announced the 90g bar would cost customers £1.35 and that it will be released at one specific store next month.
‘We’re excited to share our new Aero Strawberry Flavour sharing bar with chocolate fans,’ a Nestlé spokesperson said.
‘The bar brings together a smooth milk chocolate shell with a melt-in-the-mouth bubbly strawberry flavour centre and will be available from Spar in mid-May.
‘It will then be rolled out to wholesale and convenience stores nationwide later in June.’
Chocolate fans who heard about the new product on Facebook were more than ecstatic. Hailing it as ‘wonderful’ and ‘amazing’.
Sandra Gerrard said: ‘Wow can’t wait, yummy.’ As Jane Howarth wrote: ‘Wow bet it’s wonderful. Brilliant idea.’
Charlie Selig added: ‘Looks yummy.’
A few others claimed that there had previously been a similar bar in the 80s and they were excited for the strawberry flavour to return.
The new Aero Strawberry Flavour sharing bar will be available to buy from Spar from mid-May.
This comes after another chocolate giant recently announced they were launching two new flavours of its most iconic sweet treat.
Cadbury added two bars to the Dairy Milk range, with the new products known as Dairy Milk & More.
There’s the Nutty Praline Crisp bar, which is a milk chocolate bar with a creamy almond and hazelnut filling and a layer of crispy wafer, and the Caramel Nut Crunch, which is made up of milk chocolate with a creamy toffee filling, a caramel layer and chopped hazelnuts.
Cadbury described the new chocolate, which comes in larger chunks that your traditional is Dairy Milk, as ‘sumptuous’ and ‘delicious’. They claim that each bite of the bars will transport you to a world of ‘pure, heavenly delight’.
Maria Jackson, Cadbury Dairy Milk brand manager at Mondelēz International, said: ‘We’re delighted to be launching this innovative and exciting addition to our beloved Cadbury Dairy Milk range. With bigger chunks and more combinations of delicious flavours, every bite of Cadbury Dairy Milk & More will reward you with precious moments of sheer indulgence.’
