Australia is known for its exotic wildlife, breathtaking beaches and…one chocolate biscuit brand hailed as ‘Aussie gold.’

Calling all fans of the addictive Tim Tam: Down Under’s ‘most iconic chocolatey biscuit’ is officially hitting UK supermarkets.

Finally, there’s no need to jam pack your suitcase (and test your luggage limit) with these beauties.

Australians have been enjoying this sweet treat since 1964, when it was introduced by biscuit company Arnott’s.

A mouth-watering combination of crunchy biscuit, luscious velvety cream filling and smooth chocolatey coating, Waitrose & Partners and Ocado are now stocking this addictive treat, likened to the Penguin bar, for £2.50 a pop.

The original is unbeatable, but it’s also available in Dark and Chewy Caramel, with the latter adding a chewy caramel filling to the mix.

Even Margot Robbie is a fan, famously declaring that her favourite Tim Tam flavour is the Murray River sea salt caramel (which sadly isn’t landing in the UK).

She added that the biscuit is an ‘Aussie staple,’ and to mark the 60th anniversary of its creation, was gifted a pink box of Tim Tams labelled ‘Margot’s.’

It’s an instant way to level up your cup of tea, too. Ever heard of the famous Tim Tam Slam? This combo endorses biting, sipping and slamming the biscuit with a ‘beverage of your choice.’

First, simply prepare a warm drink and select your favourite Tim Tam.

Next, bite off the diagonal corners – and don’t be tempted to bite your way through it, if you can resist.

Finally, use the Tim Tam as a straw, sucking your drink through it before putting the whole biscuit in your mouth and soaking up the moment. You’re welcome.

Fans have long been singing the praises of the beloved Tim Tam.

‘I absolutely should not eat a whole sleeve of TimTam cookies for dinner, no matter how good they taste with my cold brew,’ @DCLovesDestiel wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

‘Tim Tams are the best. I leave half a suitcase empty when I visit family. I go home with as many Tim Tams as will fit,’ @ElizaPlume212 added on Reddit.

‘Try putting them in the fridge. IMO, they’re better cold,’ @BurnZ_AU recommended. ’Especially the perfect choice of double coat.’
