Coleen Rooney has revealed how she manages to keep her health and energy at its best while juggling a busy schedule.
The former TV star, 37, is no stranger to a packed calendar with four children, work and personal commitments, but her most recent job may just be the perfect compromise for a woman looking to stay healthy personally and professionally.
Revealing how one of her biggest challenges is ‘balancing my role as a Mum and managing my personal life,’ the star who has Kai, 13, Klay, nine, Kit, six, and Cass, four, with her husband of 16 years, former Manchester United player Wayne Rooney, has been announced as Applied Nutrition’s newest ambassador.
The well-known brand is known for its selection of collagens, protein powders, pre-workouts, vitamins and other nutrition necessities, with its range being so good it has even impressed Coleen.
In a statement, she said: ‘I’ve always taken an interest in looking after myself, and Applied Nutrition has impressed me because of the quality of their products.’
Coleen added that for her personally, she has found that the brand’s diet whey protein makes an ‘a real difference’ to her workouts regardless of whether she does them at home, in the gym or her Reformer Pilates sessions.
She continued to say that the partnership was a ‘no-brainer’ as it’s ‘important for me to stay healthy and energised’ whether that’s in her personal life, her professional life or her role as a mum.
In addition to being beneficial to the star’s health and well-being, Coleen revealed she also has a sweet connection to the brand as she grew up just 10 minutes from their manufacturing facility in Liverpool.
She said she is ‘excited’ to share the brand’s amazing products with her followers, who are striving for a healthier lifestyle.
And it seems the feeling is mutual, with Applied Nutrition Chief Operating Officer, Steve Granite stating: ‘Coleen’s passion for health and wellness, coupled with her busy lifestyle, makes her the perfect fit for our brand.’
Coleen’s life is extra busy at the moment as Wayne has moved to Devon for his new role as Plymouth manager, leaving his family in Cheshire where Coleen has taken on the majority of the parenting duties.
Speaking to the Mirror, the star said despite doing long distance, she and the boys are lucky enough to see Wayne ‘a couple of times a week’ and are often on FaceTime together.
‘There’s lots of FaceTime and he always phones when we’re going out of the door in the morning,’ she said.
She also spoke about the family’s decision not to move to Devon with Wayne, admitting it would be too much with their children all under 15, and settles in their schools.
