As his relationship with Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) ends in Coronation Street, Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) can’t help but try his luck again with Toyah (Georgia Taylor) next week.
Toyah and Nick started sleeping with each other when Leanne became completely invested in The Institute.
At first, Nick and Toyah were just physically attracted to each other but when they were faced with the prospect of ending their affair, the two characters realised their feelings ran deeper than they thought.
Now Leanne knows about Nick and Toyah’s fling, upcoming episodes of the ITV soap will see the former couple part ways. Just as Leanne leaves the flat, Nick apologises to her for the way things have ended between them.
Towards the end of the week, Toyah pops by the flat to keep an eye on Sam (Jude Riordan). Initially, Sam is reluctant to talk to Toyah but when Nick gets home, he finds the two of them making models.
Impressed with Toyah’s ability to win Sam round, Nick takes her to one side and declares that he still loves her.
‘Yes I genuinely think he’s in love with her’, actor Ben Price explained.
‘I know this is a bit weird, she’s Leanne’s sister, but I think he actually really loves her and he thinks this could be something and it was a bit sad how it had to end.
‘Everything was a bit different with Toyah, bit lighter, and I think after the way Leanne suddenly went to the Institute, it really made him think I just don’t know you at all. I think he’s being genuine with Toyah.’

‘It’s definitely a deeper connection, I actually don’t think it was based much on the physical initially’, he pondered.
‘Supporting her through her cancer was what drew them together, it wasn’t like he’d been attracted to her for years, it was about being there for her, and then her for him, that’s how the love started.
‘There’s a lot more to it than just the physical.’
