Corsair has launched the Hydro X Series iCUE Link XH405i RGB Custom Cooling Kit. Available in white or black/grey, it includes all the parts needed for a full CPU liquid-cooling loop, with the possibility to add a GPU to the mix.
Corsair is continuing the integration of the remaining hardware for its iCUE Link ecosystem. This time, we have an update to the brand’s custom water-cooling kits. Augmented with iCUE Link’s simple connectivity, these kits further streamline the building process for newcomers.
In this bundle, you will find every bit you need to build your custom loop. You get a 396mm x 120mm x 30mm radiator and three QX120 RGB fans. You also get a pump/reservoir combo powered by a Xylem D5 PWM pump plus a CPU block with pre-applied thermal paste – compatible with Intel LGA1700 and AMD AM4/AM5 sockets.
There’s also the iCUE Link hub plus all the bits needed, which include a saw to cut each tube to the correct length and tools to correctly shape the curves. To be more specific, you will find 3m of XT Hardline 10/14mm transparent tubes, eight Hardline 14mm fittings, and 1L of XL8 Clear coolant.
Note that this kit doesn’t include a GPU water block. This is understandable as it would limit compatibility to specific builds. That said, it is compatible with the brand’s Hydro X Series iCUE Link XG7 RGB water blocks if you want a fully liquid-cooled system.
While you could get similar CPU cooling performance using an AIO solution like the iCUE Link H150i LCD at half the price, this kit allows you to add any number of components you want. For example, you can grab a GPU block to cool your graphics card or a second radiator to improve the heat dissipation potential. Custom kits also offer, in my opinion, a much nicer aesthetic, with the ability to choose the layout you prefer.
You can snag one for £649.99 / $699.99 / €749.90 at Corsair’s store, backed by a two-year warranty. The water blocks, pump/reservoir, and radiators are backed by a three-year warranty. Happy building.
