The winner of Dancing On Ice 2024 has been revealed after a difficult series with multiple dropouts.

Ryan Thomas was crowned the winner alongside professional skating partner Amani Fancy.

Three celebs and their professional partners were in the final, and the first to be eliminated was Adele Roberts and partner Mark Hanretty, leaving Miles Nazaire and Vanessa Bauer, and Ryan Thomas and Amani Fancy in the final two.

And after a tense final battle, with both sets of hopefuls performing bolero routines, Ryan and Amani came out on top.

Holly Willoughby returned to TV for the first time since leaving This Morning, partnered with Stephen Mulhern after the departure of Phillip Schofield, but it’s been far from a smooth ride.

On Sunday, hours before Dancing On Ice final, it was announced that Olympian Greg Rutherford had been forced to withdraw as he underwent medical examinations after a ‘significant injury’.

And just days earlier rumours had swirled that S Club 7 star Hannah Spearritt had decided not to return for the final skate, after being booted in week three.

The finale saw radio DJ Adele and her partner Mark, Made In Chelsea’s Miles and partner Vanessa Bauer, and soap star Ryan Thomas and Amani Fancy battle it out for the winning title.

It comes after Love Island’s Amber Davies and pro partner Simon Proulx-Sénécal were eliminated in a tense semi-final, despite being awarded the full 40 points from judges earlier in the night for their ‘almost perfect’ performance to Taylor Swift’s Wildest Dreams.

The full line-up at the beginning of the series included Ricky Hatton MBE, Claire Sweeney, Lou Sanders, Eddie the Eagle Edwards, and Ricky Norwood.

Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb had been due to take part but, in what was unfortunately to become a trend, had to drop out before the series began due to an injury.

On Sunday, after it was announced Olympian Greg would not be taking part thanks to an injury, he shared a video of himself in a hospital bed to Instagram, calling the situation ‘a nightmare’.

‘Sadly I picked up a big injury in rehearsals,’ he said. ‘So I will not be performing on Dancing On Ice tonight. I am devastated. But these things happen. What a nightmare way for this to finish.’

It remains to be seen what the series will look like next year, however reports have emerged stating host Holly has been offered a huge deal to return.

A source told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Dancing On Ice is definitely coming back in 2025 and the plan is that Holly will host it.

‘Contracts are being negotiated but the chiefs love her and they know that there are others who would love to sign her up but ITV love her and they want to keep her very much part of the ITV furniture for years to come.’
