Daniel Booko, who most fans will know from his role on The Valley, was also a prolific young actor who appeared in several early 2000s TV teen sitcoms, including iCarly. One of the first TV shows to really understand the coming impact of the internet, iCarly was a Nickelodeon hit series that premiered in 2007, and a recent reboot iCarly series in 2021 has kept up the show’s impressively sound legacy. The series featured many guest stars over its now nine seasons, including Daniel Booko, who had a big role in one particular episode.
Actor and model Daniel Booko got his start in minor, but memorable, performances in popular TV shows and movies, including The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, Entourage, American Pie Presents: Band Camp, The O.C., and more. Many viewers who were young in the 1990s and 2000s will remember Daniel Booko’s appearance in Hannah Montana. He’s become an increasingly recognizable face thanks to his starring role in the Vanderpump Rules spin-off, The Valley, where he and his wife, Nia Sanchez, co-star alongside a group of young adults trying to deal with the realities of adulting.
Daniel Booko Played Cort The Intern In An ICarly Episode
Booko Is Hired For His Looks Rather Than His Talent
Of his many one episode appearances on classic TV shows, his performance as Cort in iCarly may be his most memorable. Cort appears in season 4, episode 8,”iHire An Idiot”, where he has the ignominious role of playing the titular “idiot”. When Sam (Jennette McCurdy) and Carly (Miranda Cosgrove) begin to struggle with the amount of work it takes to keep the show running, they decide to hire an intern. Despite the capable applicants, Sam and Carly go by looks and decide to hire the attractive Cort, who knows nothing about hosting a webshow.
Tasks Cort Wrote Down In His Notebook In iCarly |

Believe in myself [sic] |
Freddie just said something |
Carly looks hot today! woot! |

To get back at the girls, Freddie (Nathan Kress) hires an incompetent but conventionally attractive assistant of his own, Ashley (Teresa Castillo). After enough miscues, the trio accept that they should just run the show. Cort is a very funny character whose indifference to how hard he’s making Freddie’s job feels like something taken right from the set of the show. Surely there were some unqualified people on the set of iCarly making life harder for the crew. Booko is perfectly dopey, but with his winning smile, it’s not hard to see why Sam and Carly kept him around.
What’s Next For Daniel Booko?
Booko Will Co-Star In An Upcoming Comedy Film
After iCarly, a performance he sadly did not reprise for the reboot, Daniel Booko continued acting, primarily in smaller parts. He also continued a a successful voice acting career, voicing various characters in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Spider-Man 2 the video game, The Three Stooges, The Wolverine, and more. Most of his time seems to be spent on The Valley, but Booko does have a new film that has completed shooting.

I Rewatched The Nora Episodes Of iCarly And They Would Never Be Allowed On TV Today
Nickelodeon’s iCarly features plenty of guest characters and some have aged worse than others, like Nora, whose episodes wouldn’t air today.
Expected to release in 2024, JEFF is a comedy from director Walter Michael Bost that’s about a country bumpkin, Jeff (David Heckel), who travels from his farm to Hollywood to become an actor. He moves in with two aging actors, Logan (Booko) and Steph (Elisea Hale), and they all work together to find success. Daniel Booko could very well have an exciting second half to his career, beginning with The Valley and JEFF, and it will be interesting to see where these roles end up leading.
The Nickelodeon sitcom iCarly follows teenage internet streamer, Carly Shay (Miranda Cosgrove), her older brother Spencer Shay (Jerry Trainor), and her two best friends Sam Puckett (Jennette McCurdy) and Freddie Benson (Nathan Kress), who help her host her successful web show.
