Remember the Radeon RX 6750 XT? Probably not, and I don’t blame you. Launched in May 2022 as a belated upper-mid-range addition to AMD’s 6000 Series GPUs, the card struggled to impress critics and end users alike.
Armed with faster memory and a minor core frequency uplift, 6750 XT offered minimal gains over existing 6700 XT and poured salt on gamers’ wounds with a lofty $549 price tag that did nobody any favours.
Time heals all wounds, as they say. Fast-forward to today and Radeon RX 6750 XT is, believe it or not, an interesting proposition following hefty price cuts. What started life at $549 is now readily available for $279, making it practically half price.

There’s a decent choice of cards, too. Over at Amazon US PowerColor’s Fighter RX 6750 XT is first to breach sub-$280 territory. Here on UK shores the PowerColor can be imported at the best price, but you’ll also find an XFX Speedster model at £284 from Amazon UK, or an ASRock RX 6750 XT Challenger Pro at £287. A far cry from the £550+ cards we saw at launch.
Isn’t it a little late to be contemplating a 2022 graphics card? Not if the price is right. Outfitted with 12GB of GDDR6 operating at 18Gbps, Radeon RX 6750 XT offers good bandwidth for an RDNA 2 solution. Paired with the 7nm GPU’s 2,560 shaders, you have a 250W card that will excel at 1080p or deliver comfortably in excess of 60fps in most titles at QHD.
With these new price points, Radeon RX 6750 XT finds itself competing with the likes of GeForce RTX 4060. The GeForce has the upper hand with regard to ray tracing and efficiency, but the Radeon is comfortably quicker in the rasterisation stakes. It ultimately packs a decent punch without breaking the bank.
At the very least, it’s an oft-forgotten solution that may well be worth a second look. With pricing getting closer and closer to £250, RX 6750 XT isn’t a bad upgrade after all.
