DHQ Directs Police To Arrest Nigerians Using Military Stickers, Insignias

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has directed the Nigeria Police to arrest Nigerians using its stickers and insignias

The DHQ gave the directives and stressed the ban on the illegal use on Thursday in a statement signed by its Director Defence Information, Turkur Gusau.

He warned Nigerians to desist from displaying the military stickers or any form of its insignia, particularly on unauthorised persons.

“The DHQ has observed the non-adherence to the ban by some unauthorised individuals despite several warnings on the need to desist from such unlawful acts,” the statement read.

The military further noted that it has directed the Nigeria Police Force to arrest and prosecute any Nigerian found using the stickers, especially on their vehicles.

“This decision was necessitated by the rampant cases of use of military tickers and insignias to evade security checks,” the military said.
