Dragon Ball Daima Episode #3 Release Date & Time

Dragon Ball Daima episode #3 is set to bring Goku to the Demon Realm for the first time, thanks to their newly met ally by the name of Glorio. But how trustworthy is Glorio really, and who is he serving?

Episode #2 of Dragon Ball Daima saw the Z Fighters getting used to their new bodies, as being shrunk down to the size of children has made it difficult for them to use their powers as they normally would. This is especially relevant when it comes to flying, as their balance is radically different due to their new size. It seems that this won’t be an easy transition for the heroes, but at least those like Bulma, whose talents are more intellectual, have been relatively unaffected by this sudden change in size.

When Do New Episodes of Dragon Ball Daima Release?

Dragon Ball Daima Produced by Toei Animation, Based on the Dragon Ball Franchise by Akira Toriyama

New episodes of Dragon Ball Daima are currently premiering every Friday on Crunchyroll at 10 AM Pacific Time, or 1 PM Eastern Time. As a result, fans can expect episode #3 of Daima to debut on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET. Because the episodes are releasing relatively close to their Japanese airing, the episodes will initially be available only in Japanese with subtitles. An English dub has been confirmed, but likely won’t begin streaming until November 2024, when the first three dubbed episodes will premiere in a theatrical event in the US on November 10-12.

What Happened in Dragon Ball Daima Episode #2?

Dende is Kidnapped and Glorio Arrives

Episode #2 of Daima saw the characters who fought against Majin Buu turn small, and that wish was broad enough to include characters like Dende and Chi Chi, who didn’t even fight directly. Goku found out quickly that having his size altered so radically has messed with his innate sense of balance and distance, making it far more difficult for him to fight than when he was full size. Fortunately, Gomah was only allowed one wish from Shenron, and so wasn’t able to retrieve the artifact known as the Third Eye, which would grant him massive power.

The team headed to the Lookout to find out what happened, only to discover Dende was missing, kidnapped by Gomah and taken to the Demon Realm. Goku and friends began plotting a way to follow them into the Demon Realm, but their only option, Supreme Kai’s ship, was in bad shape and would take Bulma 10 days to fix. Suddenly, Glorio appears and asks Goku, who he is not surprised to see turned small, if he will help to defeat Gomah. Glorio is able to bring Supreme Kai and Goku back to the Demon Realm with him, forcing Piccolo and Vegeta to wait for Bulma to finish fixing the ship before they can join.

What to Expect in Dragon Ball Daima Episode #2

Goku Heads to the Demon Realm for the First Time

Glorio and Goku in the Demon Realm in Dragon Ball Daima.

Episode #3 of Dragon Ball Daima is entitled “Daima,” and will see Goku setting foot in the Demon Realm for the first time. Since Dragon Ball Daima isn’t providing much of a preview for the next episode, and there is no manga source material to look at, it’s impossible to say precisely what will happen in episode #3. It is possible to speculate a bit, however.

Now working with Glorio, Supreme Kai and Goku will need the Demon Realm native’s help if they’re to rescue Dende and defeat Gomah. Glorio does seem to be opposed to allowing Gomah to become the new King of the Demon Realm, and may have an association with another faction within the realm. Of course, there’s no guarantee that whoever Glorio wants to be the next ruler will actually be a decent guy at this stage, and Supreme Kai is suspicious of him already.

The Supreme Kai also seemed to be quite stunned to hear his brother Degesu’s name mentioned, suggesting that they have a very complicated relationship. He’ll likely be equally surprised to learn his sister is there as well, so it seems like the Supreme Kai’s past may well be explored in the coming episodes in a way that it’s never been before. Goku and the Supreme Kai will need to be ready for just about anything while they’re in the Demon Realm, especially at this early juncture, before Bulma, Vegeta and Piccolo will be able to join them. Dragon Ball Daima is ready and eager to explore this new world, and fans are no doubt just as excited to get into it.
