Ghanaian actress Nana Akua Addo is trending on social media after a Nigerian designer identified as Ezinne Olivia Styling called her out for not giving her credit for her AMVCA outfit.

Kemi Filani reported that the Ghanaian style icon took social media by storm with her stunning outfit designed with 3D non-conventional material at the 10 edition of the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards.

The talented actress gave Hollywood style icons a run for their money as she styled her look with Heidilee’s Endless Echo hat to the star-studded event. She also accessorised her look with a luminescent shell clutch from Chanel.

Now, an upcoming Nigerian designer has claimed that she was the one who designed the outfit after the Ghanaian actress excluded her as one of her creative styling team and rather tagged her Ghanaian team.

According to reports online, Ezinne was allegedly asked to choose between being tagged and getting paid N400,000, and she chose the latter but begged to be supported as it was her first ever AMVCA. She also noted how she spent a lot as she had travelled with her team from Enugu to Lagos.

As such, Nana had refused to tag Ezinne, stating that she chose to be paid rather than be tagged, and this has caused a stir online.

Ezinne had promised to go on Live by 5 pm to show evidence of how she made her outfit.

“Hello, good day, everyone. I will be going live by 5:00 PM to show all evidence of how I made Nana Akua Ado dress for the AMVCA 10.
This is a result of people accusing me of not making the dress. I made the dress from the structural corseted illusion dress down to styling her on the day of the photo shoot”.

One Somi Joseph wrote, “This is funny o. So if she had agreed to get tagged. Shey the lady no go pay for the cloth when them sew for her. I no understand”.

This isn’t the first time an AMVCA outfit has created drama online. In 2022, actress Dorcas Fapson was dragged online over an unpaid debt.

The media personality had ordered a dress at the last hour and paid half the money. Unfortunately, Dorcas wasn’t impressed with the dress, though she wore it to the AMVCA and took several pictures. The actress refused to stick to the end of her bargain as she blocked all contact forms with the designer when he requested his balance.

Also, actress Eniola Ajao and celebrity stylist CEO Luminee were called out for plagiarism by an Ivorian stylist over her outfit to a movie premiere.

The Ivorian stylist frowned at the reproduction of her work without any permission or given a mention or credit for the outfit and claimed that CEO Luminee didn’t respond when they reached out to her.
