Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) has come face to face with possibly the worst person she could imagine after being sent to prison for contempt of court in EastEnders.

While settling into prison life, Sharon was shocked to receive a visit from none other than fellow prisoner Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman) – the woman responsible for killing Sharon’s dad Den Watts 19 years ago.

Sharon was instantly suspicious of Chrissie’s motives, especially given that Sharon was involved in having her sent to prison in the first place, after alerting the police to Chrissie’s attempt to flee the country.

However, Chrissie made it clear that all she wanted was for Sharon to admit that Den had drove Chrissie to kill, and that she hadn’t deserved to spend her life locked up.

When Sharon refused to feel sorry for her, insisting that if she was innocent then she wouldn’t have tried to blame Sam Mitchell (Kim Medcalf) for her crime in the aftermath of Den’s murder, Chrissie insisted that she wouldn’t know how she would act until she was in that situation.

Chrissie explained how she’d feared for her life when Den attacked her, and that she would have been dead if Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) hadn’t hit him over the head to stop him.

It didn’t take Sharon long to recognize the similarities between Chrissie’s situation and her own, and she soon admitted to Chrissie that she too had been attacked and saved by her best friend.

As Chrissie left, Sharon revealed that she forgave her for killing Den, though it was too little too late.

Later, Chrissie approached another prisoner who was in debt to her, and explained that she’d forget all about what she was owed if the prisoner taught Sharon a lesson.

Will Sharon make it out of prison alive, or will she follow in her father’s footsteps and die at Chrissie’s hands?
