Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) grows concerned about his dad Stevie (Alan Ford) in EastEnders soon, unaware the newcomer is hiding a massive secret.
Stevie, as viewers know, rocked up in the Square earlier this year, determined to make things right with estranged son Billy, who he hadn’t seen in years.
Billy wasn’t keen for a family reunion, rebuking his father at every given opportunity but, after some advice from Phil (Steve McFadden) – who suggested that he keep him close in a bid to find out his motives for coming to the Square – he resolved to give Stevie a shot.
Stevie has claimed that he has no ulterior motive other than being lonely, reiterating his desire to simply reconnect with his estranged family before it’s too late.
Now though, we know that isn’t exactly true.
At the start of next week, it’s Father’s Day in Walford so Stevie gets ready to enjoy an afternoon of fishing with Billy and his mates.
Wanting the boys to enjoy the great outdoors more, Stevie confiscates Denzel (Jaden Ladega), Will (Freddie Phillips) and Ricky’s (Frankie Day) phones and tells them to reconnect with their dads.
Later though, Billy becomes concerned for his dad’s wellbeing when Stevie calls him by the wrong name.
In the week, Billy worries about Stevie’s apparent memory lapse, but is soon distracted by Will when he’s forced to take his phone away once they’re back in Walford.

As Billy worries about his father, he remains unaware of the bombshell set to be dropped on the Mitchell clan over the summer – Stevie has another family.
In the coming months, Stevie’s other son Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) rocks up in Walford with sons Harry and Barney (Elijah Holloway and Lewis Bridgeman) in tow, on the hunt for his dad.
However, he gets more than he bargained for when he comes face to face with Phil, Billy and the rest of the Mitchells, and tensions run high as Stevie is forced to admit that Teddy and Billy are half-brothers.
