Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) had quite a lot to say to Anna Knight (Molly Rainford) and Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) during tonight’s episode of EastEnders.
Yesterday, Anna and Freddie decided to go bird-watching together. Things have been quite awkward between the two pals ever since Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) discovered his girlfriend and best mate had kissed.
This development, along with difficulties surrounding Lucy Beale’s mum Cindy (Michelle Collins) ultimately led to Bobby leaving Albert Square for good. Wanting to completely start afresh and not feel haunted by memories in Walford, Bobby is now living with mum Jane (Laurie Brett).
In tonight’s episode, Ian was put out to find Anna and Freddie enjoying their evening together in the pub.
Sitting down with Cindy, Ian wasted no time in delivering a few home truths towards the young pair.
Ian confirmed that Bobby had settled in really well with Jane and had got himself a new job. While this was good news, Ian pointed out to Anna and Freddie that neither of them had actually asked how Bobby was.
The whole situation was very awkward and tense. As far as Ian was concerned, the girl who drove his son out of Walford was now hanging round his best mate ‘like a bad smell’.

These comments made Cindy furious. In order to get revenge and probably feel better about herself, she popped a message to Junior Knight (Micah Balfour) and later met up with him in Beale’s Eels to continue their affair.
In the week, an unsuspecting Ian decides to check in on the pie shop, unaware that Cindy and Junior are getting down to business inside.
As he interrupts their rendezvous, will he catch them in the act?
